Our Mission
Urban Solutions is a nonprofit organization formed
by individuals with strong backgrounds in
healthcare, law, education, business and finance.
Our mission is to help inner city residents reach
their full potential. Our focus is on healthcare,
employment and psychosocial issues. We receive
backing from corporate sponsors as well as
government and independent grants. With these
contributions, we initiate programs that impact
targeted groups with positive outcomes. With our
knowledge and expertise, along with a combination
of old-fashioned values and hard work, Urban
Solutions will succeed at making a difference to
the health and well being of our community. Urban
Solutions also provides family planning services to
the community as well.
Founded in FY 2000, Urban Solutions began as a
satellite program of Health Associates of South
Philadelphia Inc., a mission-based medical service
provider which serves 20,000 patients per year and
partners on many of our programs. To fulfill its
mission of providing educational and preventive
medical outreach services Urban Solutions does
intergenerational programming in the following
areas of health care education and access across
the life span.
